Works of the Myopia series will be presented in a solo show end of November in BLANCO Zaal Convent 15, Groot Begijnhof 15, 9040 Ghent.

In the intimacy of her studio, Charlotte Alice Martha works on the series ‘Myopia’. In this project, she explores the tension between painting and photography. Myopia functions as a conscious escape from the overstimulating digital world, in which we are daily flooded by fake images, algorithms, and spoon-fed realities. Through colourful photographic images and multi-layered oil paintings, she challenges the viewer to let go of the guided perception and rediscover the autonomy of their own vision.
